Ombudsman and Uniform Complaint Procedure

The AIMS Ombudsperson, Mr. Eric Haar, is responsible for the intake, investigation, and monitoring of all formal complaints filed by parents/guardians, students, and staff. AIMS utilizes a comprehensive Uniform Complaint Procedure to provide a uniform system of complaint processing for all complaints as described in the AIMS Uniform Complaint Policy and Procedures.

The ombudsperson is strongly committed to supporting our entire AIMS community in resolving concerns with compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations governing educational programs in the operation of the schools.

AIMS encourages the early, informal resolution of complaints at the school site level whenever possible. If parents/guardians, students, or staff have a concern, it should first be addressed with the Director of Schools, Ms. Natalie Glass, by natalie.glass@aimsk12.org or (510) 496-9794.
